Become an Ambassador

If you are interested in becoming an NCOM Ambassador, fill out our Volunteer Interest Form.

Goals

  1. Increase NetVU member engagement by driving conversations on NCOM and growing NetVU’s volunteer base.
  2. Ensure NCOM is a vibrant, thriving online discussion forum that represents NetVU members.
  3. Build awareness of NCOM as the consistent resource for solutions, knowledge-sharing, and peer-to-peer connections.

Responsibilities

  1. Adhere to NCOM Code of Conduct.
  2. Be an active contributor on NCOM, responding to unanswered posts in the communities to which you belong - even if it's to ask another member for feedback. Unanswered posts are posts without a helpful comment for more than two business days.
  3. Start a new discussion thread or share a library resource twice a month. Non-product specific posts and resources should go to the General Discussion HUB.
  4. Help create a more robust library by sharing relevant resources from your firm. Resources you might share include: how-tos, workflow examples, and templates.

Commitment & Communication

  • Terms run July 1 – June 30 annually.
  • Communication for program-related instructions will be via email from NetVU staff.
  • Dedicate at least 30-60 minutes per month to scanning NCOM for unanswered posts, responding to posts to share knowledge and resources, and starting new discussion threads.
  • While you’re serving as an NCOM Ambassador, you’ll be recognized with a ribbon on your NCOM profile.

Best Practices

  • Help members know you who are by adding your Vertafore products, versions, and agency size/number of users to your Discussion Signature.
  • If you don't have specific advice for an unanswered post, please reach out to another NetVU member or someone in your firm who might be better equipped to reply.
  • Tag specific members by using the “@” symbol and typing their name.
  • If you’re unsure if your contribution should be shared publicly or have other questions, contact Community & Connections Manager, Brittany Aman.
