As a member of the NetVU Executive Board of Directors, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the organization. This group provides strategic oversight and direction, ensuring NetVU continues to thrive and serve its members. You’ll be part of high-level decision-making that drives the organization's growth, guiding the development of initiatives, programs, and policies that impact the entire community. Role and Responsibilities:
Governance: Provide strategic direction, oversee the planning and administration of all NetVU activities, and help create a forward-thinking Strategic Plan
Leadership: Foster consensus-driven decision-making, encourage open dialogue, and bring people together to drive change
Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Director, staff, and Advisory Board to delegate less significant matters and focus on high-priority goals
Participation: Attend monthly conference calls (90 mins), up to four face-to-face meetings per year (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall)
Advocacy: Represent NetVU at industry events and promote its programs, services, and events within the community
Special Projects: Take on occasional oversight assignments for special projects or programs that impact the broader NetVU mission
Requirements:
Experience: Leadership and management background, with strong industry contacts and communication skills
Ethics: High moral standards and servant leadership mentality—focused on the greater good of NetVU members
Strategic Thinking: Foresight to address long-term goals and anticipate future challenges in the industry
Collaboration: Ability to engage in constructive debates, welcome conflict, and resolve issues while keeping discussions on track
Technology Mindset: Understanding of the NetVU/Vertafore relationship and a willingness to learn
Commitment: Ability to meet the time commitment and engage in regular participation and oversight duties
