Opportunities are generated from a variety of referral sources including cross-selling referrals from existing Newtek clients. Job Qualifications include but not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of recent experience in P&C.
  • Active Property and Casualty Insurance license required.
  • Assertive self-starter with the ability to influence others.
  • Proven sales track record in sales and service.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

  • Proficient computer skills. Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Process new business applications; booking and binding new business
  • Gather application and underwriting data and prepare insurance proposals for potential new clients as well as renewals.
  • Prepare and present complete and competitive insurance quotes within 2-3 days of receipt of request.
    • Process renewals, endorsements, change requests, claims, and deposit premiums efficiently and accurately.
    • Achieve sales, account development and retention targets as set out in annual and semi-annual company plans.
    • Provide prompt and cooperative customer service to all prospects, clients and underwriters.
    • Process new and renewal policies according to company procedures and workflows, keeping backlog to less than one working week for personal lines.
    • Conduct regular account reviews, identify basic life needs and provide solutions in an effort to improve retention and sell additional coverages.
    • Identify client's insurance needs, determine and present solutions.
    • Educate and advise clients on product features and benefits.
    • Recommend business solutions to clients based on their individual needs such as Newtek payroll, benefits, etc.
    • Build strong relationships with producers, clients and insurance company underwriters.
    • Continue training and education within the related field as well as company standards, processes and procedures.
    • Promote and maintains proper procedures within the insurance agency to minimize exposure to liability.Newtek offers a competitive salary and performance-based bonus program.
