“Volunteerism is the voice of the people put into action. These actions shape and mold the present into a future of which we can all be proud.” – Helen Marie Dyer, chemist and cancer researcher who lived to 103.
NetVU is a community powered by members. That means volunteers help drive supportive conversations, training, community-building, and more. The small paid NetVU staff relies on volunteers to help make NetVU what it is! People ask me all the time if they can volunteer if they only have a few hours a month. The answer? ABSOLUTELY! We have people who volunteer 10 minutes a week to reply to a post or maybe an hour a month to sit on a committee. Others take on larger roles, such as serving on our board of directors. But no matter the effort, we work hard to ensure that each volunteer has the information they need to be successful.
When I first came to NetVU and spoke to some of our volunteers, I heard stories of people growing their business because of volunteering, meeting their best friend, and learning from the peers they made by volunteering on committees! No matter what, your knowledge and time are valued – and the rest is the frosting on the cake.
So, how do you start? It’s easy! Click on this link to access our new volunteer form, answer a few questions, and send it in. I will set up a call with you personally to talk through the available positions and what works best for you.
Our NetVU volunteers are the backbone of this organization. What I love most is the diversity of people who have seen a difference in their professional and personal lives because of being a part of this NetVU community!
