June is a bittersweet month at NetVU. Why, do you ask? June 30 marks the changeover in committee terms for NetVU volunteers. We welcome our new volunteers, embrace those staying on and say a heartfelt goodbye to those leaving.
Jim Dahoney, NetVU Executive Board member at large is one of those individuals.
Jim serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Operations Officer and Director of Strategic Acquisitions for Marshall & Sterling, Inc, an employee-owned company with more than 550 insurance specialists who maintain a national presence and are licensed throughout the nation. Jim oversees his team who focuses on all areas of information technology along with the discovery, evaluation, and integration of new acquisitions.
Jim has served as a member-at-large on NetVU’s Board of Directors for the past four years becoming an active and engaged NetVU volunteer after attending his first Conference in 2013 and subsequently has not missed an Accelerate since. His extensive information technology knowledge has been invaluable to NetVU especially for decisions involving long term IT strategies and goals. Jim has gladly shared his knowledge on the NetVU speaking circuit facilitating large agency roundtable online discussions, a Vertafore Client Communications roundtable, and presenting workshops such as How to Eliminate IT Headaches to Focus and Grow your Business and Accounting Workflows in ImageRight.
Merriam-Webster defines volunteer and one’s role as a person who voluntarily undertakes or expresses a willingness to undertake a service and who freely offers their time, labor, and expertise. This definition embodies Jim’s positive outlook and his determination to volunteer where he can provide his best knowledge, offering NetVU insight, knowledge, and support.
NetVU knows that this is not really good-bye as Jim promises to continue to stay active and contribute and attend his 13th Accelerate in Austin in 2023. Please join us to say Thank You, Jim Dahoney for your knowledge, dedication, spirit, and positivity. NetVU appreciates you beyond measure.
