NetVU offers our members opportunities to apply your leadership, vision, and spirit of service to help your fellow insurance professionals on our board of directors. As an independent, volunteer-driven organization, NetVU depends on our board members to engage and grow our professional community. In return, board members get to flex valuable experience in servant leadership. Here are some important things to know about our board and the qualities we’re looking for.

The journey of NetVU is something that everyone looking for professional development should consider. From committees to the executive board of directors, each offers something a little different, but from all of them, you gain a network of friends.

You discover how to work with different personalities, different views, and discover the different ways that agencies work. Reaching further than that, and becoming part of the NetVU board, and then part of the executive committee and an officer of NetVU, you realize the true breadth and depth of this organization, and the reach that you have you also gain perspectives to carriers, vendors, MGA, and all pieces part that make NetVU what it is.

 

Why do people serve on the NetVU board?

Our board members are true servant-leaders.  Many say they get more out of their service to NetVU members than they give up.

What does the board do?

The most important function of our volunteer board of directors is to advocate on behalf of all NetVU members. They’re dedicated to sharing innovative systems and solutions with fellow industry professionals and invested in the continued success of our members.

When does the board meet?

You can plan on a monthly conference call, an in-person board or strategy meeting each quarter, some committee or working group meetings depending on your interests, special projects and occasional representation at industry events.

How do I qualify to be a NetVU board member?
