Accelerate Update

By Jon Gorman posted 02-22-2022 11:19

As we rapidly move through January, we are edging ever closer to March 28 and the opening of Accelerate, powered by NetVU. As such, I wanted to provide a few updates and share my excitement and joy, anticipating our NetVU “family reunion” after two years of virtual Accelerate.

By the time we get together at the end of March, it will have been nearly three years since we were together in person for an Accelerate. But that hasn’t deterred us from continuing to do what we do best – connect with one another, learn from one another, and lean on one another to ensure we’re getting the most out of our Vertafore solutions. And getting together at Accelerate is the best way to refuel and recharge yourself and your organization.

So yes, to answer the whispered questions we’ve been hearing, we are pushing ahead with getting together for Accelerate this March in Denver, CO. … the home of Vertafore.

I know there is a lot of fear in the world, but there is also an overwhelming desire for us to get back together again and reconnect with our peers in the industry.

EDUCATION TOPICS HAVE BEEN PUBLISHED AND ARE BEING UPDATED DAILY
I’m happy to share that many of the topics are now available for your review. These topics can all be reviewed by visiting our Education Breakout Listing. We are continuing to add to this list by Vertafore solution, so if you don’t see a topic today that you were hoping for, please continue to check back online by visiting this page.

In addition to the health and safety measures below, we are adjusting the layout of our education breakout rooms to allow for social distancing and protections to minimize close contact. This includes fewer seats in each room as well as considerations for presenters who will have to balance their own protection with the need to be clearly understood.

REGISTRATION RATES HOLDING FLAT
Because of uncertainty with the pandemic and to give you and your organization extra time to evaluate education topics and the effects of the pandemic, we’ve decided not to increase our introductory registration rate of $699.

We have also updated our registration refund policy to allow for refunds of 100 percent for anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 within ten days from the start of Accelerate or has travel restrictions enacted due to COVID-19.

UPDATING OUR COVID-19 POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Nothing is more important to me and NetVU and Vertafore leadership than the health and safety of our members.

NetVU’s Health & Safety Task Force continues to monitor updates from CDC, local and state agencies, and medical experts, and will continue to monitor developments with COVID-19 as it relates to putting on an event like Accelerate. From the outset, the task force was committed to being nimble in adjusting and updating our policies and procedures to ensure we are doing everything we can to positively impact the health and safety of our members, staff, partners, and exhibitors.

Our priority is to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements from a health and safety standpoint. Currently, there is a local ordinance requiring masks be worn at all indoor events in Denver.

A significant update to our policies is that we will now be asking for proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to attend Accelerate.

  • Vaccine requirements in our policies and procedures are defined as two shots of Pfizer, Moderna, or one shot of Johnson & Johnson prior to attending Accelerate. Additionally, NetVU will accept other WHO-approved vaccines.
  • You can share your proof of vaccine by 1) showing vaccination card or records, 2) showing a photo of your vaccination card or records, OR 3) use of a Mobile Health Pass. Accepted health passes are Clear Health Pass, CVENT Health Pass, and IBM Digital Health Pass Wallet.
  • Proof of negative COVID test would require an administered laboratory PCR test or a rapid antigen test 1-3 days before traveling to Accelerate per CDC guidance. Tests administered on March 21 or earlier will not be accepted.
  • Pending availability, NetVU will have self-administered antigen tests on site.
  • If you test positive prior to traveling to Accelerate, please stay home. You will be offered a full refund of your registration fee.
  • NetVU will have procedures in place for anyone who tests positive on site at Accelerate. The Grand Hyatt Denver has agreed to honor NetVU’s negotiated hotel rates for the duration of someone’s quarantine if they choose to do so on site.
  • Pending availability, NetVU will have masks available on site for attendees wishing to wear masks for the event, which if not required by ordinance, will be highly recommended and strongly encouraged.

I am looking forward to meeting you in March.
