What does it take to achieve success in your risk and insurance career? Credibility and specialized knowledge are certainly two of the keys, and an efficient way to gain both is with an IRMI certification.

In partnership with WebCE, International Risk Management Institute (IRMI) has designed six insurance educational programs that help agents and brokers, underwriters, claims professionals, and other insurance practitioners develop expertise in industries and coverage lines that traditionally produce high premiums and commissions. Not coincidentally, these industries also have the most complex and nuanced exposures, and it requires specialized knowledge to properly construct insurance programs to cover those risks.

The IRMI certification courses are designed with early- to mid-career risk professionals in mind but are also great refreshers for seasoned pros. Increasingly, insurance professionals are finding another key to career success is to specialize in and focus on specific industries or challenging lines of insurance, and the IRMI certifications support this approach. Below is a list of the six programs, along with links to more information about each of them.

·      Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS®)

·      Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS®)

·      Energy Risk and Insurance Specialist (ERIS®)

·      Management Liability Insurance Specialist (MLIS®)

·      Manufacturing Risk and Insurance Specialist (MRIS®)

·      Transportation Risk and Insurance Professional (TRIP®)

Each certification program consists of five self-study courses with a final exam. WebCE’s state of the art technology powers it all, which allows you to add insurance continuing education (CE) credit in any state for a small additional fee.

As you plan your next  professional development steps—or work with your staff to plan their development programs—why not consider joining the elite group of risk management and insurance professionals who have set themselves apart by earning an IRMI certification?
