Spark 2024 Recap: My First Time as an Attendee

What an experience! This year’s Spark Conference was my first time attending, and after hearing so many great things, I went in with high expectations. I was particularly excited about the unique format of sessions—something that sets Spark apart from other conferences. And I have to say, it absolutely lived up to the hype!

The sessions were incredibly engaging, with attendees actively participating, sharing insights, and fostering thoughtful conversations. It was so refreshing to see everyone so involved, offering valuable input, and building off one another’s ideas. The networking and relationship-building that happened both in and out of the sessions was amazing. The intimate, collaborative nature of Spark is unlike any other event I’ve attended, and I now understand why people rave about it.

A fun little backstory: I’ve been part of the Spark planning team since I joined NetVU. In fact, I accepted my role with NetVU on the very last day of Spark last year—so you could say this event has always been a bit special for me. While I’ve been behind the scenes planning Spark, experiencing it firsthand was a whole new level of appreciation. Seeing how the event fosters such close relationships—both professionally and personally—was amazing to witness and even more rewarding to experience myself.

To everyone who attended Spark this year—thank you for making my first time as an attendee so memorable. I’m leaving with new ideas, stronger connections, and a renewed excitement for what’s ahead. Until next time, Spark!
