First face-to-face QQCatalyst meeting held in California

Wednesday, August 17th was a beautiful day in sunny Southern California for our first face-to-face regional meeting with users of Vertafore’s QQCatalyst management system.  Plans for this regional meeting started with a request from users who attended Accelerate, powered by NetVU, in Denver.  “Bring education and information closer to home.” was the message received during NetVU’s premier education event in 2022.  With a large concentration of QQCatalyst users in SoCal, it made sense to start something new there.  Our Platinum Partner TotalCSR hosted us in their beautiful Foothill Ranch, CA location.

Joining a strong contingent of Vertafore representatives were eight agency owners from the area:  Connie Blake-Blake Insurance; Don McClure and Stephanie Bradstreet-McClure Insurance Services; Aletha Brady-LiveSmart Insurance Services; Adrian Monreal-Monreal Insurance Solutions; Nelly Tejada-Semaphore; Diane Wagner-Agency One Insurance Services; Ted Worrell-Buckler Insurance Agency.

The agenda was jam-packed with product updates and education sessions.  We started off with Jennifer Carlson, Director-Product Management sharing recent updates to QQCatalyst and a peek into the future of the product.  Attendees were very interested to hear about recent improvements to the product.  Jennifer also shared some of Vertafore’s strategic direction for product development overall, introducing the AgencyOne concept that we’ve been hearing a lot about.  Following Jennifer’s presentation, Jay Wang-Vertafore, Customer Experience led the group in a feature design session.  Attendees were asked to answer questions about how they use certain screens within QQCatalyst, and to share how their workflows and efficiency could be improved with some changes.

Following a brief introduction of the Total CSR team – Justin Goodman, Jordan Goodman, Jennifer Miramontes and Ashton Volk, we saw a demo of the Total CSR system and heard how it can improve new employee onboarding and increase insurance knowledge for those new to the insurance industry.  The agents in attendance were very interested to hear how the tools available from Total CSR help streamline the hiring process and speed up staff availability to do real work.
After a break for lunch and time to check in at the office, the afternoon got off to a fast start with product feature presentations from Sarah Reed, Solution Consultant.  Leaning in on agent’s most requested topics, Sarah shared tips and tricks for using the many marketing features within QQCatalyst. The Vertafore team did a great job of fielding questions and solving workflow issues that the agents in attendance were happy to put on the table for discussion. One feature of Sarah’s presentation was the use of MailRoom – an automated email campaign tool to improve client communications.  Diane Wagner reports that she was able to tweak an existing email campaign that she had been struggling with for months – in her words, “That made it worth the whole day away from the office!” I want to thank the Vertafore team for their support of this very valuable day with NetVU Members. And to the team at Total CSR – we couldn’t have done it without your help and generosity.

Vertafore was strongly represented by Jennifer Carlson (Product Manager), Chris Schultze (Sr. Product Owner), Travis D’Erchia (Product Owner), Sarah Reed (Solution Consultant), and Jay Wang (Customer Experience). Director, Learning Experiences Debbie Ivie leads the NetVU team in planning and executing this first-of-many regional education meetings.
