2023 NetVU Board of Directors Nominations

As NetVU’s Immediate Past Chairman, I am designated by bylaws to serve as the chairman of NetVU’s Leadership Development Committee with a focus on identifying and nominating members to serve on the Executive Board of Directors.

Our nominations are now open, and I invite you to consider nominating qualified individuals with proven
leadership abilities for consideration as a candidate for the Executive Board of Directors.


Service on the executive board of directors is for one
-year terms (up to four consecutive terms) beginning July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024. The roles to be filled through this process include at-large directors and the Secretary/Treasurer of NetVU, which requires budgeting, finance and an accounting background.


Nominees will be submitted to the executive board
of directors and then to the membership at NetVU’s Annual Meeting of Members on May 19, 2023.


Here is a form that outlines Executive Board responsibilities and the Nomination process, or you can read about them on NetVU.org. Completed nomination forms are due by Friday, March 4, 2023.


Candidates should have the following qualifications:
  • High moral and ethical standards
  • Level of participation in NetVU events, committee and activities
  • Open-mindedness and foresight regarding strategic future issues and their impact on the industry
  • Organization must utilize a current Vertafore system
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Respect of industry peers
  • Breadth of industry contacts and knowledge
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to meet required time commitment
The function of the NetVU Executive Board of Directors provides supervision and direction over the affairs of the Corporation and shall determine its policies in accordance with the Bylaws. The Executive Board of Directors shall be responsible for the coordination, planning and administration of all Corporation activities, including assisting in research and deliberation of issues that drive the direction of the Corporation

The executive board of directors serves in a governance role for NetVU, creating and communicating a Strategic Plan that advances the purposes of the Corporation. Taking up any matter that is less significant should be delegated to management, led by the Executive Director and supported by staff and the NetVU Advisory Board. The full Executive Board meets every six weeks by conference call and quarterly for two-day face-to-face meetings.
