Employee Spotlight: Brittany Aman - A Creative Force, Trusted Teammate

By David Waite posted 5 days ago

If you’ve ever had a question at NetVU and thought, “I bet Brittany would know,” you’re probably right.

Born and raised in the Dallas area (technically Garland, but she’ll let that slide), Brittany Aman is approaching an incredible milestone—10 years with NetVU this April. Nearly her entire professional adulthood has been spent growing alongside the organization, supporting members, building community, and bringing creativity and heart into everything she does.

A Steady Presence with a Creative Soul

When asked what she enjoys most about working at NetVU, Brittany doesn’t hesitate: the flexibility, support, and teamwork. She thrives in an environment where coworkers are always ready to jump in and help—and judging by staff feedback, Brittany is often the one doing the jumping.

Colleagues consistently describe her as thoughtful, dependable, and detail-driven, with a calm confidence that makes even complex initiatives feel manageable. Whether it’s improving processes, enhancing the member experience, or stepping in wherever help is needed, Brittany has become one of NetVU’s most trusted go-to people.

“Brittany is pretty much everyone’s go-to person if they need help with almost anything around NetVU.”

And she does it all with kindness, patience, and a sense of humor that brings smiles wherever she goes.

Making Member Experience Meaningful

Brittany is deeply passionate about creating meaningful connections—especially when it comes to members. She takes pride in initiatives that make people feel welcomed, informed, and supported.

One of her proudest moments this year was helping lead the First-Time Attendee Mentor program and seeing the welcome reception come together so successfully. She credits teamwork (and gives a special shoutout to Mackenzie as her “partner in crime”) for making the experience shine.

Looking ahead, Brittany is excited to help reimagine and implement the Speakers Guild, refining the process to make it even more seamless and valuable for members.

Life Outside NetVU

When she’s not supporting the NetVU community, Brittany’s creativity really takes center stage. She loves sewing, crafting, reading, playing D&D, and is currently learning to play the cello. At home, she’s kept company by two dogs—Kevin, a talkative husky mix, and Jinx.

She’s a proud night owl, powered by coffee, and happiest with a plate of mashed potatoes (or any kind of potato), steak, and broccoli. Her current favorite read is Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V. E. Schwab, and she and her husband are big fans of Critical Role and Dropout TV.

Holiday Favorites & Fun Facts

The holidays hold a special place in Brittany’s heart—especially Tuba Christmas, a Christmas Eve tradition she picked up after marrying into her husband’s family. Every year in downtown Dallas, tuba and brass players gather to fill the city with holiday music, and she can’t imagine Christmas without it now.

She’s Team Real Tree, loves Klaus, listens to Last Christmas by Wham!, dreams of snowy Christmases in Spearfish, South Dakota, and still fondly remembers getting Heelys as a kid (and yes, she’s tempted to buy them again).

One fun fact you might not know? Her two front teeth are fake—and the story is worth asking her about.

Words to Live By

The best advice Brittany’s ever received came from her grandpa:

“Worrying is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but it won’t get you anywhere.”

It’s a sentiment that seems to reflect how she approaches both work and life—with thoughtfulness, forward momentum, and grace.

Why We’re Grateful for Brittany

From her creative imagination to her genuine care for members and teammates alike, Brittany brings something truly special to NetVU. She’s insightful, funny, endlessly helpful, and always thinking ahead—while still making space for connection and friendship.

As one coworker perfectly summed it up:

“Brittany’s spark for being herself and trying new things is what helps connect members on a deeper level—and makes working at NetVU the best.”

We’re incredibly grateful for Brittany’s dedication, creativity, and heart—and we can’t wait to see what she brings into the next decade at NetVU.
