Steady, Supportive, and the Queen of Communication
If you’ve ever attended a NetVU event and thought, “Wow, this feels seamless,” there’s a good chance Kristine Serbus had something to do with it.
Originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, Kristine has been with NetVU for nearly three years, bringing consistency, organization, and a calm presence to everything she touches. When asked what she enjoys most about working at NetVU, her answer says it all: seeing members truly enjoy our events. That joy—felt by attendees and teammates alike—is something Kristine helps make possible behind the scenes.
A Calm Force Behind the Details
Kristine is known across the organization as someone you can always count on. Colleagues describe her as steady, reliable, and incredibly detail-oriented, especially when it comes to managing logistics. One teammate shared that she’s “the person you want on your team when precision matters,” while another simply summed it up as: “Very organized. Always ready for whatever comes her way.”
From housing logistics (where she’s affectionately known as the “Housing Guru”) to event execution, Kristine handles even the most complex moving pieces with patience and grace. She’s also praised for her ability to follow up on deliverables, stay responsive, and keep communication clear—earning her the unofficial title of “Queen of Communication.”
Kindness That Goes Beyond the Job
While Kristine’s operational skills are unmatched, it’s her kindness and thoughtfulness that leave a lasting impression on those around her. Team members consistently mention how she checks in on them—not just about work, but personally too. She’s often the first to recognize a colleague’s accomplishments and never hesitates to acknowledge a job well done.
One teammate shared, “She always reaches out to see how I’m doing,” while another noted how inspiring her one-on-one interactions can be. Whether it’s a quick message of encouragement or a thoughtful follow-up, Kristine makes people feel seen and supported.
A Memorable First Impression
When asked about her favorite NetVU memory, Kristine didn’t hesitate to share a story from her very first Accelerate event—one that perfectly captures both her sense of humor and the heart of the NetVU team.
After landing in Austin, Texas, Kristine ended up with an eye infection thanks to a not-so-clean Uber ride. The result? No makeup, backup glasses, and a less-than-ideal start to a big event. But what she remembers most isn’t the mishap—it’s the kindness and compassion shown by her teammates throughout the experience. A tough moment turned into a meaningful one, setting the tone for what it truly means to be part of the NetVU family.
Life Outside of Work
Outside the office, Kristine enjoys winding down with her one (very old) dog by her side. When it comes to comfort food, you’ll likely find her reaching for Chinese or Thai, especially on colder days—paired with anything hot to drink to keep cozy. She’s currently enjoying the show The Diplomat, and when the holidays roll around, It’s a Wonderful Life is her go-to favorite.
She’s also firmly Team Artificial Tree, proving once and for all that practicality can still be festive.
Looking Ahead
Kristine credits teammate Ellen as someone who has inspired her this past year, noting how much she’s grown in her Operations role. As for the future, Kristine continues to look forward to what’s next—supporting the team, elevating our events, and helping create experiences our members will never forget.
From her unmatched reliability to her genuine care for others, Kristine Serbus embodies what it means to be a great teammate at NetVU. We’re incredibly grateful for everything she brings to the team—and we’re lucky to have her.
