If you’ve ever joined a NetVU call and felt an instant boost of positive energy, chances are Alyssia Dugas was involved. With her spunky personality, calming presence, and genuine care for others, Alyssia has become a cornerstone of the NetVU team—and a favorite among members and staff alike.
Getting to Know Alyssia
Alyssia hails from Lafayette, Louisiana, where her roots run deep—especially when it comes to family and food. She’s been with NetVU for four years, and when asked what she enjoys most about working here, her answer is simple and heartfelt:
I enjoy the people the most. The NetVU team is supportive, collaborative, and genuinely passionate about serving our members. Working with colleagues who bring creativity, expertise, and heart to every project makes the work both fulfilling and fun.
That collaborative spirit is something her coworkers feel every day. Team members describe Alyssia as organized, tireless, and always willing to drop everything to help. She brings a rare mix of determination, humor, and warmth to everything she does—plus an energy that’s downright contagious.
Holiday Cheer, Alyssia-Style
When the holidays roll around, Alyssia fully embraces the magic of the season—without overcomplicating things.
Her favorite holiday tradition is a cozy one: Christmas pajamas, Christmas movies, and quality time with her daughter the night before Christmas. As for holiday movies, she’s firmly in the Home Alone 2: Lost in New York camp, because, in her words, “who wouldn’t want to be in a grand, luxury hotel for Christmas with your dad’s credit card?”
She’s Team Artificial Tree (because efficiency matters), still treasures the memory of receiving her first American Girl doll, Samantha, and dreams of one day spending the holidays in a luxury winter cabin in Aspen—complete with snowy views and a cozy fireplace.
Life Outside of Work
Outside of NetVU, Alyssia’s world revolves around family, travel, and cheer competitions. She proudly embraces her role as a full-on cheer mom, cheering on her daughter, Ryann, at competitions. At home, she’s also kept busy by Sage, her 9-month-old Toy Poodle, who adds even more joy (and energy!) to the mix.
When it comes to comfort food, Alyssia doesn’t mess around—her Cajun cooking, especially her gumbo, is legendary, thanks to recipes passed down from her grandmother. And when it’s time to unwind, she’s currently hooked on sci-fi horror, with Stranger Things and It: Welcome to Derry topping her watch list.
A NetVU Moment to Remember
One of Alyssia’s favorite NetVU memories takes her back to her very first Accelerate conference in Denver.
I had only been with the team a few months, and I remember having such a great time on the dance floor at the Vertafore Appreciation Party. It was one of the first moments where NetVU members really got to interact with me, see my personality, and realize how fun and relatable I am. It made me feel connected to the community in a whole new way.
That moment perfectly captures what Alyssia brings to NetVU every day: authentic connection, approachability, and heart.
