NetVU is proud to spotlight Jenny Petersen, Data Quality Manager at Brightway Insurance, as the recipient of the Leadership Award in Memory of Louie E. Woodbury Jr. This prestigious award honors long-time leadership, proven achievement, and meaningful contributions to NetVU and the insurance industry. True to the spirit of the award, Jenny exemplifies leadership within her community, the industry, and across NetVU—steadfastly supporting our mission to build the future through world-class education, the exchange of ideas, advocacy, and technology innovation.

What This Honor Means to Jenny

For Jenny, leadership is deeply rooted in gratitude and giving back. Early in her career, mentors took her under their wing—entrusting her with new responsibilities, new systems, and new opportunities she had never encountered before. That experience shaped her approach to leadership today.

“This is an opportunity to pay it back,” Jenny shared. “I’ve learned so much from the NetVU community—users helping users—and being able to give back and help others grow, just like I was given the chance to do, is incredibly meaningful.”

The Power of the NetVU Community

Ask Jenny what NetVU means to her, and her answer comes quickly: users helping users. She describes NetVU as a passionate, welcoming community where professionals—sometimes even competitors—come together to solve problems, share knowledge, and lift one another up.

From chapter meetings to Accelerate and Spark, Jenny sees NetVU as a catalyst for collaboration and growth.

“It’s absolutely wonderful to see all these users helping each other out. It happens everywhere—chapters, Spark, Accelerate—and it truly accelerates learning and connection.”
